Why verify sellers?
Verification helps buyers know more about who they are dealing with. Verification does not guarantee the quality of an item or guarantee a transaction, but it confirms that certain seller information has been checked by 9ja Traders.
Phone Verified
The seller confirmed a Nigerian phone number with a one-time code.
Verified Seller
A government-issued ID was submitted and reviewed by our team.
Address Verified
The seller's state and city were confirmed with a supporting document. Private addresses are never shown publicly.
Verified Business
Business registration details, e.g. CAC documents, were reviewed and approved.
Trusted Seller
Awarded to verified sellers with a strong rating history, completed transactions, account age and no serious marketplace violations.
Still trade carefully
Meet in a public place, inspect items before paying, and never send money in advance for delivery — even to a verified seller.
